Picture of Receiving Unit DSE99

The Receiving Unit DSE99 is designed to receive the digital data stream sent from the family of digital Radiosonde DSxx and to prepare it for further use by the Software System ADS99.

It too is the Interface between the PC and the Radiosonde during set up of the Radiosonde.

Inside a 19” housing there are printed circuit boards for decoding the received data, converting the data into ASCII data set and power supply during set up of the Radio weather sonde DS99 and antennas.

The further devices are the sensor for measuring of ground pressure, the receiver for radio sonde signal and the reference receiver for GPS as well as the power splitter for indoor GPS supply.

On the rear panel there are all of the plugs to connect the receiving device with PC, AC or DC power and the antennas.

At the front panel there only are the main switch and the plug for connecting the Radio weather sonde DS99 during set up procedure as well as the connector for indoor GPS supply.

All necessary adjustments are done via software ADS99 with the PC. Because of this remote control, i.e. control of speakers loudness too, the receiving device has not to be placed in direct reach of the operators hand.
